What’s better than wining and dining on a fine summers evening? You guessed it, nothing! There’s something about getting dressed to the nines, grabbing a partner, family member or friend and going to your favourite restaurant. It’s the new restaurants and cafes in town that allow us to find our new favourite spots, support small independent businesses, and keep our lovely little town as vibrant as ever. Here at Broadstairs Apartments, we love that our self-accommodating holiday homes are so close to so many restaurants, traditional and new. In this blog post we will be letting you in on a little secret and giving you all the best new and upcoming restaurants in Broadstairs.
Kebbells - 8 Victoria Parade, Broadstairs CT10 1QS
Right on the edge of Victoria Gardens, this brand-new luxury fish bar is bringing a real twist to your classic fish and chips. With an artistic twist with every dish, they really know how to get your taste buds tingling. Whether you’re in the mood for a seafood platter to share, or a deep fried, soft shell crab burger that you can dig into, they do it all at Kebbells. They do all they can to make sure that their produce is locally sourced (which we love!) and they take pride in that fact. You can find them on Instagram with some very artsy snaps of their dishes here.
Jetty Broadstairs - Pier Head Kiosk, The Harbour, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1JU
We wish we could say that this restaurant is right on the beach, but we can’t…because it is in the sea! If you love the ocean breeze and hearing the waves wash up onto shore then Jetty Broadstairs will definitely be your cup of tea. With locally sourced food and drinks, you will be able to relax and know that not only is the food good for you, but it’s good for other local businesses too! Now, this restaurant isn’t open yet, so keep an eye out for the grand opening. You will definitely see us there on opening day. Check out their Instagram to keep in the loop.
The Funicular Coffee House - Broadstairs CT10 1EU
This sleek coffee house isn't particularly new, but they have big plans for a total makeover coming in the works. It's only natural when going to a cute coffee shop with a book in hand to feel like the main character in a romcom, and The Funicular Coffee Shop is the best place to do just that. Even better, it’s right on the promenade so you can enjoy everything they have to offer right by the sea. Not only do they serve hand roasted coffee and wonderful pastries and cakes, but they also allow you to enjoy craft beer and quality wines “…with your toes in the sand”! This sleek coffee house really does embody the great vibes that Broadstairs has to offer. See their Instagramfor their great bakes and future plans for the store!
Pork and Co
This name might ring a bell to you, and no you’re not going crazy. Canterbury’s infamous Pork & Co is opening up a new restaurant in sunny Broadstairs! With a restaurant also in Margate, Pork & Co is quickly becoming the go to pig out in Kent! Whether you want a melt-in-the-mouth sausage roll to go, or you’re in the mood for a sit-down meal with some quirky beers from independent breweries, they’ve got you covered. Pork & Co is a Canterbury classic and we’re so excited to finally welcome them to Broadstairs.
